As part of its sustainability commitment to reduce the carbon footprint over its value chain, Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield mandated Thermosphr to deploy its HVAC optimization solution on one of its most iconic shopping centers.
The objectives of the project were to reduce the energy footprint of the property while ensuring optimal comfort for the occupants.
Westfield Rosny 2 is among the largest shopping centers in France, with over 180 stores gathered in a 150,000 m² mall. It attracts over 15m visitors per year.
Thermosphr's solution was deployed in three weeks, consisting of the connection of Thermosphr to the building management network, data mapping and standardization according to haystack standards, data collection used for the modeling of the HVAC equipment and zones, testing and commissioning.
Each phase was conducted by Thermosphr's engineering team in close collaboration with the technical team of the facility.
First energy savings results were visible within two weeks of deployment. Over 2GWh of energy, i.e. 29%, were saved in the first year of operations, while improving significantly the thermal comfort for occupants.
